Women and girls are essential leaders across pastoralists and indigenous territories. Their role in mobilizing for the securing of land and environment, food security and sovereignty, demanding gender justice and fighting patriarchy, often leading efforts to defend their rights, demand participation in decision making, holding invaluable knowledge of local ecosystem and advocating at the various levels for further protection of human, women and indigenous rights. Our role is to ensure that:

1. Women voices are captured in budgetary process
2. More women are taking more elective seats
3. More women are involved in decision making process
4. Gender base violence has been eliminated
5. More women understand and the importance of reporting Gender based violence
6. Women have access to sexual reproductive health rights
7. More women have access to opportunities i.e. in Finance, in institutions and in markets
