Over the past few weeks, we have been hard at work in Marsabit validating Samburu, Turkana and Rendile Biocultural Community Protocols that we have been collectively developing.
Biocultural Community Protocols are documents developed by indigenous or local communities to articulate customary laws, cultural practices, and traditional knowledge related to biodiversity conservation and sustainable resource management.
These protocols will serve as a guide, ensuring the protection of our resources, and territories, and the preservation of our deeply cherished cultural values through the wisdom of our traditional knowledge.
