In 2021, FoLT launched a participatory planning process with staff, board members and community partners. Instead of top‑down directives, we co‑created a five‑year strategic framework rooted in storytelling and Indigenous values. We assessed our strengths and challenges (SWOT), clarified our shared vision and outlined priorities such as women’s leadership, ecosystem restoration, climate justice and cross‑border peace. We believe thriving lands and thriving people go hand in hand, and we stand for the rights of those most affected by climate change and destructive development.
